Come Trout Fishing!
What to Bring for Trout Fishing
Fishing is fun for all ages! No fishing license required.
We encourage you to bring your own gear!
Some tips for setting your fishing pole up for rainbow trout: use a small hook (size 6 or smaller), a small weight about 6 inches or so from the hook, and a bobber. You can also use lures such as a Panther Martin single hook or flies. We have night crawlers and corn for sale, but feel free to use other natural or artificial bait. However, minnows aren’t allowed onto the farm as they can easily transmit diseases to our healthy trout.
No worries if you don’t have your own gear – we offer poles for rent with the hook/bobber set up ($5 each) and have bait for sale: night crawlers are $2.50 for 6 large worms, and corn is $1. Fishing is “keep what you catch” and will be priced at $9 per pound live weight.
Some weekends are busier than others, so we recommend bringing a blanket or chairs to keep you comfortable all day.
Please, no carry in food or drinks.
Enjoy our local fish!
All fishing is “keep what you catch”, which means you’re welcome to take it home or stick around and have our crew prepare it along with delicious sides! Learn more about our eatery.
